Not sure that a dentist would feel comfortable with bleeding issues if your Dad's medication is not put on hold for a few days. This needs a joint discussion with the dentist and his internist, and a concerted decision be reached.

If it is a very loose tooth, than possible but check with his PCP for best answer. Any procedure that causes bleeding is of concern. A suture with packing may be a an alternative after the extraction.
