Brother is schizophrenic. has been on 1500mg of lithium. recently lowered to 1350mg a few days ago. very stiff muscles, lethargic, sweaty, stomach upset, loss of balance. brought him to er waiting now. i presume some sort of lithium toxicity? thanks?

While symptoms suggest lithium toxicity, they may cover acute medical conditions as your brother was able to tolerate even higher doses of lithium previously. Taking him to ER was the right decision, hope he recovers fast with a good plan going forward.
