Moods that have a strong impact on work and relationships need to be diagnosed and treated. Please see your primary care doc to rule out medical conditions. A clinical psychologist or other credentialed therapist can then be helpful. You sound bright and insightful. Something called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy could be one appropriate type of treatment.
