This would depend on many factors, like how high the blood pressure has been but typically, it takes more than a year for left ventricular hypertrophy to develop from hypertension. However, there are other reasons for this to develop. A cardiologist who evaluates you would be able to tell you if you have this and the likely etiologies based on your degree of hypertension.
