Just out of curiosity, why would my mom have severe shoulder spasms in one shoulder then the other and sometimes both. she is on eloquis for 4 tiny blood clots off to the left of her lungs due to a recent surgery. can blood clots cause the spasms?

Shoulder spasms can be caused by a variety of factors, including muscle strain, nerve damage, or underlying medical conditions. In the case of your mother, her recent surgery and current medication may be contributing factors. Eloquis, used to prevent blood clots from forming, while effective in reducing the risk of blood clots, it can also have side effects such as muscle pain or spasm.
