Test is ordered based on patient's symptoms and physical findings. If we do not know your eye symptoms and signs, it's difficult to tell why CT with IV contrast is ordered. In general, CT is better for defining bone structural abnormalities and contrast is used to enhance the vascular or inflammatory characteristics. Good luck.
