I have anxiety and insomnia from very high estrogen level from hrt. dr. prescribed mirtazapine for anxiety and sleep. i've used zzquil for several yrs at a standard dose. can i stop the zzquil w/o withdrawal if mirtazapine helps with my insomnia?

If high estrogen level is the culprit, dose should be reduced not treating its side effects with another medication. I am not sure why you need HRT but a high estrogen level is not recommended at your age. Otherwise, I doubt if you will get serious withdrawal symptoms with stopping the OTC sleeping formula with or without mirtazapine.
