32/m. issue pushing out stool, can be thin, pain in lower right back/in hip when leaning to left. does not occur in reverse. appetite is fine. no blood in stool. mother diag. colon cancer @ 45. stools seem greasy more often than not?

The described symptoms are not specific to any condition including colon cancer. If concerned see your doc and schedule a colonoscopy. There are some genetic conditions that predispose a person to this affliction and a discussion with your doc would be helpful.

Your symptoms do not suggest colon cancer, but since you do have a family history of colon cancer, you should start screening at an earlier age than the recommended starting age of 45. You would benefit from seeing a G.I. doctor for a discussion of when to start colon cancer screening. Good luck.
