I have bursitis in my foot..i got a steroid shot. it is killing me to walk. i need to work but my job requires a lot of walking. what can i do please?

Is the bursitis on the top or bottom of your foot? Perhaps you can ask your podiatrist for a surgical shoe to wear while it heals. This will offload some of the pressure you feel when walking. You can use crutches or a cane to help decrease the weight you are putting on that foot. Do not wear tight-fitting shoes-sneakers if you don’t want to try the surgical shoe. Good luck!!

Knowing where the injection was administered would have helped. It takes a few days to help with acute pain. However, therapy is still required if Achilles tendon is involved. Position would help
