A member asked:

My husband had a triple heart bypass last year (may) and is fine but he has a lot of pain in his left leg and foot where the vein was taken out. it is getting worse, is this normal?

No. He has to be examined to find cause- which may or may not be related to the vein removed- usually taking a vein from there does not cause pain later. Hope he feels better

An exam will be needed with his primary care doc. His symptoms may or may not be related to the surgery, an exam and detailed history will help in having a good plan as well as getting some relief.
