Since 2018 (i was 18) i've been having strange, 3-5 second long intense episodes where i can't understand language. on top of that, every sound (and i mean every sound) is perceived as a word/vowel. for example, a snap of a finger sounds like "mack"

During these episodes, individuals may have difficulty understanding language and may experience sensory distortions, such as hearing sounds as words
