I have sjgrens syndrome. dr checked for small fiber neuropathy via skin biopsy. 2 things came back. what does it mean? 1)non-length dependent peripheral neuropathy affecting small nerve fibers2)superficial lymphocytic perivascular inflammation. ty?

It looks like the test is positive for small fiber neuropathy. The lymphocytic inflammation is consistent with Sjögren’s syndrome. Hopefully, the doctor who ordered the test can discuss these results with you to go over next steps in regards to treatment. Good luck to you!

This may require further blood testing. The profile raises the question of an autoimmune disorder causing the lymphocytic deposits. At this point, the results are consistent with Sjogren's. Did you discuss the results with the physician who obtained the skin punch biopsy?
