It depends on your clinical situation. Do you have any cardiac issues, any arrhythmias, any symptoms related to your carotids, history of stroke, etc. Your doctor, who knows your clinical situation, can answer this. Good afternoon doctors. I had a cardiac EKG and cardiac echo which were both normal. I had a nuclear stress test last December which was also good. Occasionally I still get mild chest pains....what might be causing these? Should I be going to the ER?
Good evening doctors! My eye dr wants FTA ABS test, PPD test, esr VDRL, carotid doppler ekg esr. Could you please explain what these tests are for? Aren't ekg and carotid doppler for the heart? What do they have to do with the eyes?
