The contents of the stomach, food and acid, or vomit, can often look yellowy orange, it is rarely bile unless you are very sick indeed. It is possible to inhale some regurgitant into the lungs and as they are self cleaning ( unless you smoke) you will cough up discolored phlegm. If it continues for a day you might what to ask your doctor what is wrong!

Dear Dr, Kind assist, I've a dry cough with thick saliva, soar throat, tiredness, struggling to breathe, body pains and headaches.
Phlegm taste in mouth and breath. Pain in sternum. No cough or cold just sometimes clearing of throat.
