How long upper back strain last?in a pilates class i overstreched my back and for the last week,when i bend my head or hunch my back i feel a pain/pulling sensation in middle upper back.when laying in bed or just sitting or walking it doesn't hurt?

It may last weeks in certain cases but it often lasts less than 10 days. Anyway, the symptom should get much better after a week. Good luck.
