A member asked:

A1c of 5.6, (previously was in the range for prediabetes, but it dropped on my recent a1c test) but my sugars are so low that i almost pass out. my lowest has been 23 recently and it keeps falling- even though i'm eating the right foods and enough?

Your glucose monitor may be inaccurate. A blood sugar of 23 is incompatible with consciousness. If you're experiencing frequent hypoglycemia, consult an endocrinologist ASAP for evaluation & advice. Appropriate testing,advice&follow-up will be obtained. Avoid eating concentrated sweets in case you're getting reactive hypoglycemia where blood sugar spikes up causing release of insulin&overshoots.
