Recently diagnosed with t2d & started metformin. insulin level is 88.6, a1c is 6.4, blood sugar is always higher then normal. ive had several symptoms since jan. & all other labs are normal. why are my insulin levels so high? will metformin help?

Elevated insulin levels are not unusual in type 2 diabetes. I assume insulin resistance is part of the explanation. Your A1c seems reasonable. A diabetologist ir endocrinologist could advise you best.
