A member asked:

My wife got some infected blood about 4 years ago the blood was bla k and the doctor told her that she had no choice at all and she had to take the blood and then they gave her 2 extra pints of it what can she do and will she survive it and odds?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Transfused blood has a lifespan of no more than 100 days and most cells would die off long before that point. They are gone. If the procedure was going to give her an illness or bad result you would have seen it appear in the first days or weeks, not four or more years later. Your description of the blood is vague. Please consult your physician. Nothing in this story makes much sense.
