The COVID-19 pandemic is mostly over, at least currently, and the current mutations are relatively less lethal. Masks are of minimal benefit at best (Cochran Report), and were never needed outside. If you are becoming ill, contact your doctor, but the described event is unlikely to cause an infection to you. (There is always a "chance of her getting COVID")

The chance of getting Covid-19 is low at this time because most people already have natural immunity and the prevalence is less than 0.5/1,000, i.e. in 1,000 persons around you, there is not even 1 carrier . You may concern if the UPS carrier has an active infection but I seriously doubt that. So you have nothing to worry about and you do not need to isolate yourself from your mom. Take care.
