A member asked:

It's true that people who living with autoimmune disease they late to develop antibodies when they get hiv it'll take even more than one year for them to develop antibodies for hiv but when they going to test their test are negative but they have hiv?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Autoimmune disease is when the body defense system thinks that a part of the body is foreign and attacks it - causing specific symptoms. Low or poor response to an external threat eg HIV triggers a normal response against it but in people with a weakness in the immune system causes the disease/ let it progress. So they are two different things.
