Your description of a certain position and the same area and only when sleeping. It sounds like a positional pressure on spinal nerve. I would recommend seeing a doctor and getting a more definitive diagnosis . Anything from physical therapy with starching and strengthening your muscles for better support. A new mattress. But get examined instead of trying to diagnosis yourself.
