If : If it is the porcelain that broke off your crown, just wait until your dentist gets back the repair kits are not going to fix your crown or the porcelain.

If : If you see metal where the crown broke then it is likely a porcelain fused to metal crown. You can't repair that and your tooth is safe until you can see your dentist. If you see tooth amd it is not overly sensitive, try your dentist tommorrow these dental repair kits are not very good at bonding pieces together. They are more for cementing loose crowns that are whole.

If : If the tooth is asymptomatic i would wait until the morning an attempt to contact the dentist. If you are still unable to reach him / her i would look for an alternative dental office to see if they can see you. I am concerned that your dentist cannot be reached on an emergency basis or has not designated a backup for you to contact. I would bring that to his attention. Most state dental practice acts require your dentist have some means of dealing with emergencies that their patients experience. If there is no emergency backup you might want to consider other sources for you dental care.

Call another dentist: You may go to another dentist to help you temporally until your regular dentist back into office.

Save your money: OTC repair kits are usually designed to temporarily recumbent a loose crown, not to repair broken porcelain. If you are asymptomatic, wait until 1st thing AM and try your Dentist again. If still no answer, seek temporary treatment by another Dentist until you can contact your Dentist for permanent treatment. If you are symptomatic, seek temporary help from another Dentist immediately.
