Follow advice: Now that the scariest part is over, it is important that you follow your post-op instructions to the letter (these should have been provided to you upon discharge, if not, contact your surgeons office for a copy), keep your follow up appointment, and watch for symptoms of stenosis recurrence (this is uncommon, but CAN happen).

Usually no problem: The only problem encountered is swallowing foreign body such as marble or coin. When have surgery for pyloric stensis the relative narrowing of pyloric channel persists for years. Liquids have no problem passing from stomach into duodenum. Large hard objects can hang up in stomach indefinitely. Very rarely pyloric stenosis can recur.
