You should trust your ophthalmologist. Chalazion is easily recognized so I doubt of any misdiagnosis. Take care.

Very unlikely at your age that this could be malignant. It is most likely a chalazion which is the lids formation of a cyst to isolate the inflammation of a stye. Chalazia are benign and will not affect the vision or eye health. They can be removed by your ophthalmologist if you are bothered by the appearance.
