A member asked:

Had chalazion removal surgery two days ago, wondering if its normal to still be really swollen and very bruised in the corner of my eye & very dry.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Common: Removal does disturb some blood vessels which do not leak until the anesthetic wears off. Then in some cases there is swelling and bruising. This will disappear. You need contact the ophthalmologist who did this procedure only if you start to having increased swelling and pain.
