Lotrel can be affective as well because it contains amlodipine. The other ingredient in Lotrel is benazepril which is an ACE inhibitor and a medication used for high blood pressure. Hopefully both your blood pressure and the vasospasm angina are controlled on the medication.

If spasm related to the increased activity of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system it might. One can measure renin and see or just try it and see. Google it and then discuss wirth your Dr.

Having a cardiac SPECT test or nuclear med cardiac test stress and test for vasospastic angina. I take Amlodipine 5 mg TWICE daily and isosorbide mononitrate 20 mg TWICE daily. Doc said stop both 48 hours prior. Is that enough for long acting CCB?
Can Amlodipine safely be used in WPW syndrome for angina since it doesnt affect conduction like verapamil ?
