In view of presence of numerous gall stones, I favor removal of the gall bladder as you're at risk for attacks of cholecystitis anytime. It's like living with a time bomb in your abdomen especially if stones increase in size. I tell such patients attacks could occur when on vacation,overseas,on a cruise, etc.
