I have numerous gallstones . do not have any pain from eating any type of food. stool is loose sometimes .had a endoscopy done with positive results except for the stones. i consume lot of alcohol 3x week. doc wants to remove my gallbladder ? i am 72?

Many people in your situation with no symptoms only have removal of the gall bladder if an acute attack occurs, but it's like waiting for dynamite to explode. If you're in good health,like to travel a lot you may be better off without a gall bladder full of stones & avoid an operation at a most inconvenient time in your life. Laparoscopic removal of the gall bladder is quite easy and successful.
