A member asked:

Through a routine ultrasound examination, i was diagnosed to have gallstones of 21x49mm in size. i do not have any symptoms though. someone suggested me to have my gallbladder removed simply because of large size. should i follow this advice?

There is no clear answer. The stone is too large to pass on its own and may never cause any symptoms. Visit this site for information and discuss it with your doctor who knows more about your health: https://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/gallstones#:~:text=Gallstones%20are%20pieces%20of%20solid,liver%2C%20to%20help%20in%20digestion.
