I went to sleep and woke up with pain on the left side of my neck two nights ago, and when i turn my neck the opposite way, it hurts really bad. is there anything i can take or do to make it better?

Interestingly, the best reliefs is to put your hand on the left side of your head and press as hard as you can on the head while your head tries to resist the movement. You can do it over and over again if needed. What this does is contract the muscle that is tight and irritated and muscles after they contract like to relax, so it relaxes after and feels better. When it tightens again, repeat.
