Ive been on amitryptline 5mg for 1.5 weeks. cant handle side effects and want to stop but doctor out of office until monday. can i stop this low dose without withdrawal effects since i havent been on it that long?

Amitriptyline is a very old medication which is seldom used these days due to significant anticholinergic side effects. Your dose is virtually homeopathic and does not provide a risk of "withdrawal". But your physician should have someone covering on-call responsibilities. Contact the doctor who is providing this coverage.
