Only if its: If the Amitriptyline and it's antihistamine effect was blocking some allergy prior to the decrease. This could have unmasked an allergy that the Amitriptyline was actually treating previously.. Otherwise there is no itching response involved in the withdrawal effect from amitriptyline.
