What does the term mild lamina propria congestion mean? (this was from stomach biopsy results)?

Lamina propria is a layer of connective tissue, a component of the gastric mucosa. I would think pathologist describes the mild lamina propria edema due to inflammation with vascular congestion such in a case of acute gastritis. It's a benign reaction due to inflammation. Take care.
