NO: Zofran (ondansetron) is simply for the naseau associated with the viral gastroeneteritis (stomach flu), and will not prevent the illness.

Zofran (ondansetron): No! zofran (ondansetron) is only used for symptoms of nausea/upset stomach. It is not used to treat or prevent any disease processes. Best advice is to wash your hands, wash your hands, and wash your hands if you come in contact with family or co-workers with illness.
