A member asked:

I had two mri scans with contrast neither showed and blockages yet my recent ct angiogram with contrast showed 50% soft plaque in my lad artery.. mri being gold standard when didn't the 2 mris not show this ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

For blockages the best test is a direct coronary angiogram all other tests can have false neg/ positive. None is perfect- depending on technique etc.
