Since yesterday my 14 y/o daughter is having pain below the ribs, above the hip on the left side. she says is like muscle pain but advil is not working, is not a big pain but it bothers her when she take deep breaths or lay on the side. should iworry?

The pain may be referred from the GI or renal systems. If there was any injury, please see the Emergency room. The chest wall may be inflamed. Application of local heat is often effective. Most likely the pain is musculoskeletal. Watch for signs of shortness of breath, fever and worsening pain.
