Afternoon! i gave urine for chlamydia and gonorrhea test as i have symptoms. when collecting, i saw note about peeing a little in the bowl, so i did and collected the rest. i see online that i should not pee first. did i mess up? test again? tia?

Ideally the initial ounce of urine should be collected and this is the official advice of the test manufacturer. But over 20 years of day to day use, it has become apparent it makes little difference. Your test still will be valid.
