Hello, i was at the dentist not too long ago and i got told i have four cavities and that i'm needing fillings. they named a composite, transitive, and the last one i don't know what it is. it was called a "deo filling." please explain?

Composites are white restorations, a "DO" designates the surfaces of the tooth (disto-occlusal). I am not sure of what transitive denotes. Why not ask your dentist for a better explanation.

Keep in mind that cavities do not self-heal, only gradually enlarge. Also keep in mind that small cavities are easier to fix (i.e. less expensive) than large complicated cavities. As to the jargon used to describe the location on each tooth of the infection, the type of restorative material to be used, etc., ask your Dentist for an explanation ration in English rather than Dental jargon.
