On fluoxetine for 15 years, most commonly 20mg a day, at one time 20mg one day, 40 the next. became pregnant - back down to 20mg. i am 9wks pp. experiencing tight jaw and feeling overly "energetic" at times. would 20 every other day help?

If you're being treated for depression, I know that your obstetrician will not want anyone but your prescribing health professional to advise you about any change in dose. It's important that your emotional well being is maintained during your pregnancy.

Your medication needs to be managed by your Psychiatrist and Obstetrician. If you are not confident in your Dr. please see another for a second opinion. Medication alone may not be enough to help. Please see a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy to help. It may be time for a complete physical exam to know if any of your symptoms are due to a physical illness.
