Risks and Benefits: There are risks to untreated depression during preganacy such as reduced birth weight, preterm delivery, and reduced maternal-fetal bonding. Ssri's with the exception of paroxetine, appear to generally be safe in pregnancy per the acog (american college of obstetrics and gynecology). Please remain in close follow-up with your physician.
