A secondary or another infection are among possible causes. Monitor temperature and breathing. A COVID-19 test may be indicated. If the fever resolves, and a rash in the chest and abdomen occurs, a specific viral infection is likely. Nasal saline drops are often effective in reducing nasal congestion. Watch for signs of shortness of breath and cough.
