Low fevers: Infants begin having more simple illnesses (mostly viruses) after immunity derived from mom during pregnancy fades at 3-4 mo. The average kid will have 5-7 /yr until 5 yo when the frequency drops some. A temperature of 38 barely qualifies as an elevation. If the kid is otherwise having no symptoms & thriving, I would ignore it.
