COVID has been documented, even with the vaccination, to affect menstrual period however at 50 years there is possibility of perimenopausal irregularity of menstrual flow.

Although severe COVID-19 can delay ovulation, at age "50", ovulation is often delayed due to increased stimulation of ovarian eggs necessary to mature a follicle for ovulation, which can delay onset of the next expected menstruation. See your GYN physician for guidance.
