Sclerosis is a noun and sclerotic is an adjective. Yes, you can say bony sclerosis or sclerotic change of the bone. Cortical aspect of the bone should be smooth and defined so if it is not, the image will be described as seen which could be irregular, coarse, bumpy, etc...
