You can take most analgesics (narcotic or non-narcotic) with prednisone except in some specific conditions. Eg. taking a NSAID such as ibuprofen or naproxen along with prednisone can increase the risk of stomach ulcer. Or if you take prednisone for kidney problem, NSAID is absolutely contraindicated. If you take prednisone for allergy or pulmonary problem, you can take most types of pain killers.
