Gallbladder surgery 3/6 due to 15% hida/ruq pain. during gallbladder attacks alt and ast rising (normal prior).now sit at alt 245/ast 173 (25 days post op). normal alk phos and bilirubin. us/ct/mrcp all normal. autoimmune hepatitis or due to surgery?

It would be helpful to know the trend your ALT and AST-are the numbers increasing, decreasing or staying the same? If the numbers are decreasing, it may be related to your gallbladder disease and the numbers should be followed until they normalize. But, if the numbers are continuing to rise, then you need to see a GI doctor for further evaluation. You may need more testing so see a GI doctor.
