Best ask your doctor or pharmacist. Most medications take 15-30 minutes to dissolve in your system, so after 40 minute you may or may not need another pill. What did you eat for lunch that could have caused you to vomit?

Most likely the drug is azithromycin. Vomiting more than 30 minutes later does not reduce its effectiveness. You'll be fine.
