Apologies, final question about multiple sclerosis. if lower rated open mris 0.3/0.7t may miss smaller ms lesions,are they still capable of diagnosing ms at all? is it just a case of not gold standard but can at least detect something for diagnosis?

Yes, a lower-powered MRI can confirm an obvious diagnosis, especially if large lesions in an appropriate distribution, the space criteria. The potential for dissemination in time might be acquired with 2 serial imaging studies.
