What does it usually mean when your urine kappa/lambda light chain ratio is 9.48? kappa uflc 20.29 lambda uflc 2.14 with 3+ occult blood, urbc went from 3-10 to 20-40/hpf in a month. beta globulins 46%?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It means your urine contains a high level of kappa light chains. Normally there should be no beta globulin in the urine. Significant microhematuria in your urine suggests glomerular disease, stones, tumor, etc. Multiple myeloma,AL amyloidosis are possibilities although you're somewhat young for these disorders. You'd be best served by being evaluated & advised by a nephrologist. Further studies neede
