Im currently taking meds to clear out bv but feel like im developing uti symptoms can bv trigger recurrent utis? and is it safe to take nitrofurantoin while taking the metronidazole? i take my last 500mg tonight?

Neither metronidazole nor BV is likely to cause UTI. If you have recurrent UTIs and current symptoms are similar, it may be reasonable to start your nitrofurantoin; it is safe along with MTZ. But first it would be wise to use a UTI self-test strip. Don't start NTF unless it shows evidence of UTI. If in doubt, call your doctor to discuss urinalysis and urine culture. Good luck.

Vaginitis can sometimes cause UTI like symptoms. Pl have your doc check you and urine with a clean catch specimen. Drink plenty of water. Do not self medicate but let your doc decide
